What is Yoppie?

Yoppie is a subscription service providing a box of 100% organic cotton and biodegradable tampons. Your yoppie box is delivered by post every month in time for your period. You choose your selection of 18 tampons from an assortment of sizes: Mini, Regular and Super. For every month you use Yoppie, a girl in need will be provided with a month’s supply of sanitary protection. 

What are organic tampons and why are they better?

Synthetic materials and chemicals are common ingredients found in regular tampons. The small part that is in fact cotton is heavily sprayed with pesticides. Residue from the pesticides is trapped in the cotton, which in turn ends up in your tampon. 100% organic cotton have not been sprayed. Our tampons are made of 100% organic cotton that does not affect performance.

Do you go by the standard rules of absorbency?

Yes we do! Mini absorb up to 6 g, regular 6-9g and super 9-12g.

Where are your tampons produced?

Our tampons are produced and packed in Europe. The producer is certified by GOTS and Cotton inc.

What’s in the box?

The box contains 18 100% organic cotton and biodegradable tampons.

If I have heavy periods and need more than 18 tampons?

Then you can always order two boxes.

Can I change sizes of tampons in my box during my subscription?

You can always change your box when it comes to sizes. Please send us an email at support@yoppie.com. Note: No changes are accepted 7 days before delivery. If your order is not changed before the 7 days notice, it will be done so in time for the succumbing month.

Can I change the dates if my period has changed?

Why do you donate sanitary protection?

One of the reasons over 100 million girls worldwide can’t manage their periods is due to lack of sanitary protection. It leads to missed school classes and drop-outs. If a girl could finish school, her chance of economic autonomy would increase. As a result, she may be able to support her family too. Access to appropriate sanitary protection may help raise hygiene standards during her period too, and increased awareness and knowledge of menstruation will help contribute to family planning. They will also get the confidence to do whatever they want too!

In which way do I give a feminine care to a girl in need?

For every month you use Yoppie, we will give a month’s supply of sanitary protection to a girl or woman in need through our partnership with GlobalGiving.

GlobalGiving is the largest global crowdfunding community for non-profit organisations. We believe that a strong partnership is key for making an authentic impact, and we work closely together with GlobalGiving to carefully choose the projects we donate to. We are currently donating too ZanaAfrica Foundation.Thanks to GlobalGiving and their resources, we can be sure that each project has been through a thorough due diligence. 

For what does the money get donated?

The money is donated to supply girls with sanitary protection and in some projects, health education too. Currently, we donate to ZanaAfrica Foundation, who are based in Kenya.

Where does the money get donated?

We have chosen to partner with the organisation GlobalGiving, in particular, ZanaAfrica Foundation who provide sanitary products and menstruation education to girls in Kenya. GlobalGiving is the largest global crowdfunding community for non-profit organisations. We believe that a strong partnership is key for making an impact, and we work closely together with GlobalGiving to carefully choose the projects we donate to. Thanks to GlobalGiving and their resources, we can be sure that each project has been through a thorough due diligence.

For us, it is important to work with people who have the experience and the opportunity for a real impact locally.

Why donated pads?

Pads are donated as it is the most common type of sanitary protection worldwide. This is predominantly due to both religious and health reasons.

What is the type of education that is donated?

Education in health and menstruation.

How does the monthly subscription work?

Monthly subscription: the first payment is made immediately upon order, subsequent payments are made the next month on the same date or on the nearest business day as the first payment. The box costs 5.90 GBP/ month including shipping. One month’s notice for cancellation.

If I sign up for the monthly plan, will my subscription be renewed?

Yes, you’ll automatically be renewed for a second order.

Is shipping free?

Yes, shipping is free.

Where do you ship?

Currently, we only ship within Europe.

My box didn’t arrive or arrived damaged?

Email us at info@yoppie.com and we will help you.

Can I return my box if I’m not satisfied?

Given the tampon as an intimate product, we do not accept returns.

How does my profile work?

In your profile you can see information regarding:

Payment, address, subscription, and how you customised your box. You can always change your information by emailing us at support@yoppie.com

PLEASE NOTE – We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.

How do I change my profile?

There is a tab named “change my profile” in your profile, where you can always make desired changes. Press save after a change. NOTE: Your changes are made directly in our system, but if a change is made 7 days prior to delivery, changes will be applied for the succumbing month. What payment methods can I use?

You can pay with Visa, MatserCard American Express or pay pal.

My first payment did not go through?

If your payment has not gone through, email us at support@yoppie.com and we will help you.

Where do I change my credit card information?

You change your credit card information in your profile and under the tab “Payment information”.
